The judge of Dhaka Special Judge Court-5 Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun delivered the verdict at 11:30am. He stated that as the offenses were proven in all three cases, she was sentenced to seven years in each case, totaling 21 years with the sentences to be served consecutively. The court also sentenced Hasina's son Sajeeb Wazed Joy to five years' imprisonment and her daughter Saima Wazed Putul to the same term.
