Army chief urges Armoured Corps
Stay prepared for contemporary challenges

Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman on Wednesday urged members of the Armoured Corps to remain prepared to meet contemporary global challenges through modern, effective, and timely training.
Highlighting the proud legacy of the Corps and its long-standing contribution to the defence and service of the nation, General Waker-Uz-Zaman provided strategic guidance for the continued development of both the Armoured Corps and the Bangladesh Army.
While addressing commanders at the 45th Annual Commanders’ Conference of the Armoured Corps, held at the Armoured Corps Centre and School (ACC&S) in Bogura Cantonment, the Army Chief also expressed confidence that each member of the corps would continue to uphold their professionalism and play an exemplary role in serving the country.
The Army chief was received at ACC&S by the GOC Army Training & Doctrine Command; the Colonel Commandant of the Armoured Corps; the GOC 11 Infantry Division and Area Commander, Bogura Area; and the Commandant of ACC&S.
Following the conference, General Waker-Uz-Zaman planted a tree on the ACC&S premises and participated in a group photograph with the commanders.
The event was attended by the GOC Army Training & Doctrine Command; the colonel commandant of the Armoured Corps; the director general of NSI; the adjutant general; the GOC 11 Infantry Division and Area Commander, Bogura Area; senior military officials from Army Headquarters; the Commandant of ACC&S; and commanders of all Armoured units and brigades.
